Inserting 3D models into WPS Presentation slides can greatly elevate the engagement and clarity of your slides, especially when explaining complex structures, products, or designs. WPS Presentation offers built-in 3D object support, enabling users to manipulate them in real time on the slide canvas.

To begin, ensure that your version of WPS Office is up to date, as older builds lack full 3D functionality. Open the desired presentation and go to the slide for the 3D asset. Navigate to the Insert section on the ribbon. Locate the 3D Models tool under the Illustrations tab. Click on it to open a dropdown menu that offers two choices: Cloud-sourced 3D assets and This Device.

To browse ready-made 3D objects, choose Online 3D Models. A search panel will appear, letting you enter descriptive terms vehicle, building, or body system. Review the available models, preview their appearance, and select Insert to place them.

If you’ve prepared a 3D file locally, such as in DAE format, select Local File. The system opens a file picker for you to browse and choose your asset.

Once added, the 3D object displays control handles on all sides. Change its dimensions via the bounding handles or reposition it with a simple drag.

To customize the 3D object, select it and enable the 3D Model contextual tab. You’ll gain access to 3D rotation tools for X, Y, and Z axes. Adjust the light source direction and intensity. Alter the reflectivity, roughness, or color shading. Add motion effects like rotation, drift, or oscillation.

You can also set the model to play automatically when the slide appears. Or make it respond to a mouse click.

For best visual results, consider adjusting the slide background to a solid color or subtle gradient. That does not compete with the model’s details.

Additionally, ensure the model is not too large or complex, as it might reduce performance on low-end systems.

Make sure to run a full rehearsal on your presentation machine to guarantee seamless interaction during the live show.

Over time, adding 3D assets transforms your slides into immersive, interactive experiences.
